Some destroys...Some rebuilds

Recently the great Indian scholar Chanakya's Nalanda University opened up from the beginning of September 2014 after almost centuries of closure from destruction by Khiljis, Arab invaders etc. While the previous Congress government was interested in funding for the likes of Aligarh Muslim Universities from the governmental funding, outside international fund had to be raised to support rebuilding process for this ancient university of knowledge. But at least it has been opened finally. Already more than 1000 students from all over the world applied for admission including from the US, UK, Russia, Germany, Spain, Austria, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, & other southeast Asian countries.

But what baffles me is the fact that while more than thousands of books, infrastructure was burned over some time while mob attacked this ancient learning hub, the same type of people still exist in out current society who can possibly harm this rebuilt university once again, if opportunity arrives. Whenever invaders arrive in a foreign land, not only do they imprison the men, enslave children & women, destroy homes & loot properties, but also sabotage knowledge, antique items, other historically valuable things. Not only did the Spaniards or Europeans did this to the Native Americans in the New World, but also the Arab Muslims who invaded & eventually captured Indian subcontinent during the early part of history. Question is how long will this cycle continue? Will there ever be an end to it? Did Hindu emperors who captured other kingdoms around Indian subcontinent, ever do similar actions? Why is it usually with Muslims & Christians? How can we ensure our current civilization's history to be preserved over long time in history?
